COCKROACHES

The German cockroach is the most difficult cockroach to control and the largest source of concern. They are about 12 – 16mm in length, light brown with two dark streaks under the shell. They have an extremely fast breeding cycle. Each female German cockroach can produce 30 – 48 eggs at a time and about 20,000 offspring a year.

German cockroaches eat almost all types of foodstuffs but prefer starchy food such as potato, rice, and cereal the most. They can live anywhere but are found mostly in the kitchen, where they hunt for food and water.

Heavy infestation can damage equipment and leave behind unpleasant odors. German cockroaches often live in colonies. For this reason, you should check around your house upon detecting German cockroaches, as you may find even more of them.
